Every kid needs a champion

Comments:
I choose the talk I have presented to the class. The talk really impresses me, and it's an appealing and meaningful presentation. I would like to recommend to not only the educators also parents should  be aware of the importance of communication and connection.

But there is one thing  troubling  me. When she talk about  the academically deficiency student, maybe the accent she was mimicking ,  the Stereotype or the real phenomenon. The scene comes to mind is African American. I am still figuring out why.

And I gave them a saying to say: 

"I am somebody. I was somebody when I came. 

I'll be a better somebody when I leave. I am powerful, and I am strong. 

I deserve the education that I get here. 

I have things to do, people to impress, and places to go."

You say it long enough, it starts to be a part of you.
